Cowboys know who they'll play in playoffs if they beat Washington tonight - Dallas Morning News

If the Dallas Cowboys beat the Washington Redskins tonight, they'll make the playoffs. And with all the afternoon football games behind them, they know which team they'll play next week, too, if they happen to beat the Redskins: the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks are locked into the No. 5 overall seed as the non-division winner with the best record (in other words, the top-seeded Wild Card team). The Minnesota Vikings have the No. 6 seed locked up after a dramatic win over the Green Bay Packers.

The NFL has announced that the Seahawks vs. Cowboys/Redskins winner will be played at 3:30 on Sunday on FOX.

The Cowboys and Seahawks faced off in Week 2 this season, with the Seahawks winning 27-7. That game was in Seattle, though, and the playoff matchup would be at Cowboys Stadium on account of the Cowboys being the NFC East champions if they are to beat Washington tonight.

The Seahawks are also the team the Cowboys faced in the 2007 playoffs when Tony Romo fumbled the hold of the would-be game-winning field goal.
