Packers cut list 2013: Green Bay makes 9 moves to get to 75 players - SB Nation

Green Bay's injury issues were evident on Tuesday as the Packers needed to release only one player to trim the roster down to the mandated limit of 75. Green Bay placed eight injured players on reserve lists, including left tackle Bryan Bulaga.

Bulaga landed on injured reserve, ending his season after he suffered a knee injury during a scrimmage in training camp. There was initially some hope Bulaga would be able to play in 2013, but that proved to not be the case. Wide receiver Kevin Dorsey, linebacker Jarvis Reed and running back DuJuan Harris were also placed on injured reserve.

Harris was in the mix to start at running back for Green Bay, a job that will likely go to rookie Eddie Lacy now. Harris suffered a knee injury during offseason workouts and then again in Green Bay's third preseason game. Injuries and ineffectiveness have plagued Green Bay at running back in recent seasons, and the issues continue this season. The Packers will now heavily rely on Lacy to carry the load.

The Packers also placed four players on the Reserve/PUP list, meaning they will be inactive for at least the first six games of the season. Offensive tackle and 2011 first-round pick Derek Sherrod was the most-notable player to land on the PUP list. Defensive end Jerel Worthy, safety Sean Richardson and lineman JC Tretter were also put on the PUP list.

Green Bay released kicker Zach Ramirez, the only player cut on Tuesday. Acme Packing Company detailed Green Bay's moves and wrote that a bad practice cost Ramirez a shot at making the team.
