NFL teams had to get down to 75 players per roster by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 27, which means that we saw the nasty side of the football business all day Tuesday.

Business is business though and our business is tracking the news. Below is a list of the notable cuts from Tuesday.

  • 5:38 p.m. ET: The Packers appear to be moving forward with erratic kicker Mason Crosby. Crosby is the only kicker left on the roster after Green Bay cut Zach Ramirez on Tuesday. Crosby only connected on 63.6 percent of his kicks last season, the lowest number in the league. The Packers also placed several players on injured reserve, including tackle Bryan Bulaga.

  • 5:08 p.m. ET: Montario Hardesty's season hasn't even started, but it's already over. The Cleveland Browns placed the injured running back on the IR. The Browns waived a total of seven players on Tuesday and also placed offensive lineman Chris Faulk on the reserve/non-football injury list.

  • 4:45 p.m. ET: Titans receiver Kevin Walter will miss at least the first six weeks of the season after being placed on the PUP list. Walter underwent back surgery in July. Tennessee also waived injured safety Markelle Martin.

  • 4:31 p.m. ET: The Redskins placed defensive Adam Carriker on the PUP list. Carriker underwent surgery in July on his right quadriceps tendon. The surgery was Carriker's third on problematic tendon. Washington also released four players -- including linebacker Roddrick Muckelro -- to get the team's active-roster down to 75.

  • 4:14 p.m. ET: Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin is officially on the PUP list. Harvin was one of three players placed on the PUP list by Seattle on Tuesday. The team also placed linebacker Korey Toomer on the reserve/non-football injury list. Earlier on Tuesday, the Seahawks cut Donavon Kemp and Will Blackmon.

  • 4:05 p.m. ET: Fullback Jorvorskie Lane, who played in all 16 games and made five starts for the Dolphins in 2012, was cut by Miami on Tuesday. The Dolphins also cut guard Lance Louis, a player the team signed as a free agent in March. Cutting Louis will cost Miami $125,000. The Dolphins cut a total of nine players to get their roster down to the 75-player limit.

  • 3:58 p.m. ET: Fourth-year tight end Zach Miller -- not Seahawks tight end Zach Miller -- is out in Tampa. Miller was one of seven cuts the Buccaneers announced on Tuesday. The Bucs also cut tight end Mike Shanahan, who would probably fit in better with the Redskins anyway.

  • 3:58 p.m. ET: Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jay Ratliff has been moved to the PUP list. Dallas cut a total of nine players on Tuesday, including quarterback Nick Stephens.

  • 3:13 p.m. ET: The 49ers have announced several moves and their active roster is now down to 74 players. San Francisco placed defensive tackle Tank Carradine, defensive tackle Quinton Dial, running back Marcus Lattimore, tackle Luke Marquardt and cornerback Eric Wright on the Reserve/NFI List. The 49ers also announced that wide receivers Michael Crabtree and Mario Manningham will be placed on the Reserve/PUP List.

  • 2:55 p.m. ET: The Eagles waived/injured Philip Hunt which means he'll be placed on IR if he clears waivers. Philly's now at 75 players.
  • 2:25 p.m. ET: The Chargers put three players -- wideout Dan DePalma, fullback Chris Gronkowski and wideout Mike Willie -- on injured reserve.
  • 2:12 p.m. ET: The Raiders have placed LB Miles Burris on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, and placed CB Joselio Hanson and RB Latavius Murray on injured reserve. Oakland's active roster is now down to 75 players. Burris will be eligible to join the active roster following the first six weeks of the season.

  • 1:09 p.m. ET: The Seahawks cut Donavon Kemp and Will Blackmon the team announced on Tuesday. They appear to be down to 79 players.
  • 12:45 p.m. ET: The Jets announced they cut kicker Billy Cundiff but it's kind of irrelevant for cut purposes since they also signed former Dolphins kicker Dan Carpenter.
  • 12:30 p.m. ET: The Broncos got down to 75 on the roster by putting Quinton Carter on IR and JD Walton to reserve/PUP the team announced.
  • 11:22 a.m. ET: The Colts made roster moves and of course Jim Irsay tweeted about it. In case you don't follow the Mad Tweeter, they waived-injured WR Nathan Palmer, put John Boyett on Reserve/NonFootball List, moved John McNary to exempt status
  • 11:01 a.m. ET: The Ravens announced that they put linebacker Jameel McClain on the PUP list and placed defensive lineman Kapron Lewis-Moore on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. That gets them under 75.
  • 10:50 a.m. ET: The Bengals announced roster moves in order to get to 75 on Tuesday morning, waiving guard Otis Hudson and tackle Jason Weaver. Linebackers Sean Porter and Brandon Joiner were placed on injured reserve. Quarterback Zac Robinson and fullback Chris Pressley were placed on the PUP list.
  • 9:35 a.m. ET: The Vikings announced they put WR Greg Childs on the Reserve/PUP list Tuesday morning, which gets them to 75 players in time for the cut day.
