2013 NFL free agency: Greg Jennings signs with Vikings - SB Nation

Greg Jennings has signed with the Minnesota Vikings after seven years with the team's NFC North rival, according to Adam Schefter.

Jennings, a former second-round pick in the 2006 draft by the Packers, has caught 425 passes, both from Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre, for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns while in Green Bay. He has been the primary target for the Packers when he was healthy, and especially showed up in big games.

Jennings may have lost a step or two over the last seven years, but he is still a capable No. 1 receiver in the NFL and being paired with Christian Ponder should boost the Vikings' offensive production. Jennings, a two-time Pro Bowl receiver, was considered the third best free agent receiver heading into the offseason behind former Steelers wideout Mike Wallace and Patriots slot receiver Wes Welker.

He suffered through a groin injury in 2012 that kept him sidelined through much of the season. As long as Jennings is healthy now, he should provide a solid producer on offense and help move the ball down the field through the air. However, if he's not completely healthy--groin injuries have a knack for being nagging--he could prove to be wasted money.
