The Week 9 NFL TV schedule certainly holds some games that will shape the 2012 NFL standings by the end of the week. The first game of the week already did that, as the San Diego Chargers absolutely crushed the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night (November 1). The 31-13 win helped the Chargers get to 4-4 and closer to the Denver Broncos in the current AFC West standings.
On Sunday morning (November 4), the Arizona Cardinals vs. Green Bay Packers game get center stage on FOX. It's an exciting match-up of one of the best defenses in the league trying to stop MVP Aaron Rodgers and his high-flying offense. Some injuries could certainly slow down the Packers, but these guys are still the defending Super Bowl champions. That game is at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
Sunday afternoon on CBS is the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Giants. Game time is 4:25 ET on CBS and it showcases two teams that are likely heading to the postseason. The 6-2 Giants play host and the 4-3 Steelers have to fly into the game on Sunday morning due to a lack of hotels available in New Jersey. It presents an interesting sub-story, but excuses are not accepted here.
The Sunday night game on NBC is bound to be even more exciting; with the Dallas Cowboys vs. Atlanta Falcons giving lots of fans something to cheer about. The 7-0 Falcons get to host the game, with quarterback Matt Ryan trying to keep his team on a path with destiny. Game time is 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, with the primetime coverage giving the best team in the NFC right now a chance to show the country what they can do.
That takes the Week 9 NFL TV schedule to Monday night (November 5), with ESPN showing the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New Orleans Saints. This game is between two teams underperforming this season and both knowing it is an absolute must-win game. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and it should end the week with a lot of excitement.
Which game in the Week 9 NFL schedule are you most excited about watching? Do you think that the Atlanta Falcons will still be undefeated in the Week 10 NFL standings?
