The Miami Heat got a huge all-around game from LeBron James, particularly on the defensive end, and contributions from Mario Chalmers to blow by the San Antonio Spurs to tie the 2013 NBA Finals, 1-1. The teams will head to San Antonio Tuesday night for Game 3. On to the GIFs:
The early story of the game was Danny Green's shooting. Green was 3-of-3 from deep in the first quarter, and the Heat should know better than to leave him open in the corner:
As you can see in the above GIF, Joey Crawford was officiating this game. As such, there were times when the calls got less than a stellar reception from the players, LeBron James in particular. Here is one of those instances:
James said himself he wasn't at his best offensively after the game, and he scored less than 20 points for the second straight game. He did finish with eight rebounds and seven assists, including this insane pass out of a double-team in the fourth quarter, a key play when the Heat completely bypassed the Spurs on the way to victory:
The play of the game, an image that will be a part of LeBron's highlight reels for years to come, no doubt, was the MVP's utter destruction of a Tiago Splitter dunk attempt. Twitter pretty much self-combusted after this one, and it's easy to see why:
